Why was I charged after cancelling or uninstalling Sternify?

Compare billing dates, check a pending or duplicate charge, and send the right details for a billing review.

Sternify is paid in advance through your Shopify bill: each charge pays for the period that starts on that day. Cancelling, switching to a cheaper plan, or uninstalling stops future charges, but it doesn’t refund the period you’ve already paid for.

Why you see a charge

It pays for a period that started before you cancelled
Shopify adds app charges to your next Shopify bill, so a charge can show up after you cancelled or uninstalled. Compare its dates with the day you cancelled. Shopify explains this in its app-charge guide.

You cancelled in Sternify
Your plan runs until the day shown under Access until on Subscription. You aren’t charged again, and the remaining days aren’t refunded.

You uninstalled Sternify
The app is removed straight away and future charges stop. The current period isn’t refunded.

You switched to a cheaper plan
Your current plan runs until the end of the paid period, then billing for the new plan starts. The remaining days aren’t credited.

You stopped using the app or removed a widget
That doesn’t cancel your subscription. To stop paying, cancel it in Sternify.

Charged by mistake?

If a charge covers a period after your access ended, or you were charged twice for the same period, write to us with your myshopify.com address and the charge date. We’ll refund it.
