Tenancies not Requiring an Inspection

By default, Street will mark all tenancies with a lettings service level of 'Fully Managed' as requiring an inspection and therefore any 'Let Only' or 'Rent Collection' tenancies will not be marked as requiring an inspection.

If any of your fully managed tenancies do not need inspections, you can either manually mark them as 'Not Requiring an Inspection' in bulk from the Inspections table or individually from the tenancy details.

Note - This will mark the tenancy as not requiring an inspection, not the property. This gives you control over each individual tenancy on a property requiring / not requiring an inspection.

Bulk Marking Tenancies as Not Requiring Inspections

Head to Inspections on the left side panel and click the 'Tenancies Missing Inspection' tab. Using the checkboxes on the left, you can either select all tenancies or individual tenancies and then click the 'Update Selected' button to mark the selected tenancies as not requiring an inspection:

Individually Marking Tenancies as not Requiring Inspections

Alternatively you can individually mark tenancies as not requiring inspections. This can be done when completing the tenancy agreement details on a lettings application, when creating a tenancy directly from a property or by updating an existing tenancy.

Lettings Application

When progressing a lettings application, click into the 'Tenancy Agreement' tile and in the 'Tenancy Details' section you'll see the checkbox to mark as not requiring an inspection:

Ticking this checkbox will remove the 'Inspection Due Date' field from the page, preventing you from accidentally setting an inspection due date.

Creating a Tenancy Directly

When creating a tenancy directly from a property page, you will see the same checkbox to mark the tenancy as not requiring an inspection.

Updating an Existing Tenancy

If you have an existing tenancy that you need to mark as not requiring an inspection, head to the tenancy page and click 'Tenancy Details':

On this page, you will see the same checkbox to mark the tenancy as not requiring an inspection:

Viewing Tenancies Not Requiring an Inspection

To view a list of your tenancies that are marked as not requiring an inspection, click 'Inspections' on the left side panel > Tenancies Missing Inspection. On this table, toggle the 'Include Tenancies Not Requiring an Inspection':

Here you can view and track any inspections already marked as not requiring an inspection.

Note - If a tenancy is marked as not requiring an inspection but has an active inspection, it will not appear in this list until all active inspections are deleted / cancelled / completed.

Tasks

Your tasks page will show the Inspections tile, highlighting important milestones relating to inspections such as due within 30 days, upcoming and overdue. Importantly this tile will also show 'tenancies missing inspections':

This task will only show fully managed tenancies that have not been marked as 'not requiring an inspection'.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
