How landlords can manage maintenance jobs via the consumer app

Landlord Maintenance Management (Consumer App)

Landlords can view and manage their maintenance jobs directly from the Street Consumer App, including reviewing job details, tracking progress, and approving contractor quotes.

Where to find maintenance jobs

Landlords can access their maintenance jobs from two places in the app:

  • Overview tab - The maintenance section shows all pending and ongoing jobs across all properties at a glance.

  • Your Home tab - Clicking into a specific property and selecting the maintenance tab shows jobs for that property only.

Note - Maintenance requests raised by tenants will not show in the landlords Street consumer app. They will only display once you have converted the request into a job. For more information, see our Maintenance Requests help article.

Job statuses

Each maintenance job has a status indicating where it is in the process:

  • Pending - The job has been created but a contractor has not been added.

  • Awaiting quote - A contractor has been added but a quote has not been added.

  • Awaiting quote approval - A quote has been added but is waiting for approval from the landlord.

  • Awaiting instruction - A quote has been approved by the landlord but the contractor has not been instructed.

  • Contractor instructed - A contractor has been instructed in Street.

  • Closed - The job has been marked as complete in Street.

Viewing job details

Clicking into a specific job shows the full details, including the description, any photos or videos submitted by the tenant, and the current status of any contractor quotes.

Approving contractor quotes

When a contractor quote has been added and approval is requested, the job status will update to 'awaiting quote approval' and the landlord can approve the quote directly from the app.

Once approved, the job status will update to 'awaiting instruction'.

The landlord will receive the automated notification 'Quote Instructed Landlord', the contractor will receive 'Quote Instructed Contractor' and the tenant/s will receive 'Quote Instructed (Tenant)'. All of these notifications can be toggled on/off, and the content can be edited via your notification preferences.

Job Complete

Once the job has been marked as complete in Street, the landlord and tenant will receive the notification 'Maintenance Job Completed'. The job status in the landlord's app will update to Closed and will move into the Completed maintenance tab.
