How do I download a video with subtitles?

About the subtitle embedding feature

Written by Chloe

Once you've finished proofreading your subtitles, you can download the video file with the subtitles embedded directly from the Subanana subtitle editor:

1. In [Subtitle language] at the top left, select the subtitle language you want in the video

(To download the video with bilingual subtitles, select the secondary subtitles you need)

2. Click [Settings] on the left, where you can set the output video's aspect ratio, watermark, background, and the subtitle size, style, and position.

3. You can also fine-tune settings such as the subtitle size and position in the video preview on the right

4. Once everything is set, click [Export] at the top right, then click [Export video]

5. Click [Render] and wait for the video to be generated

(This step takes a little while — you can leave at any time and click [Export video] later to check the progress)

6. When it's done, click [Download] on the export video page to download your video

Please note:

  • On the Free plan you can download .mp4 videos up to 720p with a watermark; on a paid plan you can download .mp4 videos up to 4k without a watermark

  • The output video resolution may vary depending on the specs of the source video
