Why This Matters
Getting this feature set up correctly saves you time and reduces errors in your daily workflow. Let's walk through it step by step so you can get back to running your business.
Custom Roles allow admins to predefine signing roles and connect them to specific users. This helps keep signer information consistent across document templates and reduces the need to manually update signer details for each proposal or envelope. Follow the steps below to add a custom role.
What You'll Need
Admin access to SubcontractorHub
A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
From the main menu, click "Document Manager," then select "Custom Roles."
Step 2
Click the "Add" button.
Step 3
Enter the required information, such as the Name and User. To select a user, click the dropdown and choose the correct user from the list. Add the Title if needed.
Step 4
Click "Save." Note: Custom Roles can be used when setting up SubHub Sign templates. When a role is assigned to a template field, the signer information will automatically populate based on the user connected to that custom role.
