Why This Matters
Custom Chat Groups allow you to organize users into defined groups for project communication and task assignment. When a group is selected in a project note, all members receive the related notifications. Groups can also be selected when creating tasks, allowing the task to be assigned to every user within the selected group.
Follow the steps below to create a Custom Chat Group.
What You'll Need
Admin access to SubcontractorHub
A web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Click “Manage Database” from the main menu, then select “Database” from the dropdown.
Step 2
Click “Additional,” then select “Custom Chat Groups” from the dropdown.
Step 3
Click “Add.”
Step 4
Enter the required Name, then select one or more users from the dropdown by checking the boxes next to their names.
Step 5
Click “Add” to save the group.
Note: The group will be added to the Custom Chat Groups list.
Note: You can select one or multiple Custom Chat Groups when adding project notes or creating tasks. Project note notifications will be sent to all group members, while tasks will be assigned to every user included in the selected group or groups.
