How to Create and View Message Templates

Determine how to create, view, and use message templates to quickly and effectively communicate with families.

Teachers can create and save message templates instead of manually composing messages to send to families every time. Follow the steps below to figure out how to use message templates to communicate quickly and effectively with contacts, whether in a direct message or announcement.


Create a Message Template

Step 1 (optional): Select your recipient(s) in a new message. Please feel free to skip this if you will not send the message now.

Step 2: Compose your message.
Step 3: Click on the bookmark icon.

Step 4: Select the template category. This is the folder where you can locate the template later on.

Step 5: Click 'Save.'


View and Use Message Templates

Step 1: Open a new message and select the lightbulb 💡 icon.

Step 2: Select a category folder. The templates in that category appear.

Step 3: Select 'Use' to insert a template into a message.

Step 4: Select your recipients and send the message template!
