Overview of TalkingPoints for Admins Beta Mobile App

Admins may not always be in their office when they must send a message to their school community. To allow admins--both school and district level--to do their jobs on the go, TalkingPoints has released a TalkingPoints for Admins Mobile App Beta.

With the Beta release of the TalkingPoints for Admins mobile app, administrators will have access to the admin inbox and can send announcements and messages from anywhere. TalkingPoints will continue adding to and improving the mobile app to maximize effective engagement for our on-the-go administrators.

The TalkingPoints for Admins mobile app does not currently support the sending of district-wide messages or announcements. Please continue to use the web experience to send messages to the whole district.

Sign in to the TalkingPoints for Admins Mobile App

Your home page will display your school name, admin messages, and recent announcements.

Send an Announcement or Direct Message

Send a message to a class, group, or even the entire school using announcements.

Tap on "Send an announcement"

Choose your recipients by selecting class(es) or group(s)

Optional: Filter by language group or ELL status. If student messaging is enabled at your school, filter by recipient type.


Send a message to a specific student or family contact using a direct message.

Tap on "Send a direct message"

Select a student or use the chevron to select a specific student's contact(s)

Optional: Filter by language group or ELL status. If student messaging is enabled at your school, filter by recipient type.

Switch Schools

If you are an admin at multiple schools, easily switch between school sites.

Step 1: Tap on Settings

Step 2: Tap the school name to access a list of all school sites where you have school level access

Step 3: Select the school you would like to access

Enable Push Notifications

Receive a push notification to your mobile device when you receive a message.

Step 1: Tap on Settings

Step 2: Tap on Notifications

Step 3: Tap the toggle to enable push notifications
