2. Log in to Tandem
Choose your login method and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Start the Call
You can easily start the call by clicking on "Start" in the middle of the screen.
ⓘ Language: At the bottom of the screen, you can set the language for the conversation. Tandem supports the 40 most widely spoken languages in the world. If you know the conversation will only be in English, you can have English selected as the language. Regardless of the language you speak, Tandem will translate the transcription and create the note in English.
4. Allow and Check Microphone
ⓘ This step is only necessary if you are using Tandem in a browser instead of as a program on your computer.
Make sure to grant Tandem permission to use the microphone so that audio can be captured. Also, double-check that the correct microphone is selected.
5. Conduct the Patient Call or Dictation
You can now meet with the patient as usual, while Tandem runs in the background. You can also dictate directly into Tandem by speaking naturally, and Tandem will generate a complete medical note based on what you say. Tandem's AI automatically understands what information should be written under which section and how to structure the note.

ⓘ Templates: If you have multiple templates, you can choose which template you’d like Tandem to structure your note in. This can also be done in the next step.
ⓘ Add additional text: Click "Add additional text" to add information, such as previous notes or a digital patient records. This will be used alongside the recording to create the medical note. You can also create a note solely based on text input, without any recording.
7. Copy or Transfer the Note to Your Medical Record System
After reviewing the note and making any necessary edits, click the button in the bottom right to either copy the entire note or transfer it to your medical record system depending on if Tandem has been integrated to it.
