The Prices section provides an overview of all pricing rules and special rates configured in the system. It displays details such as rule priority, name, type, start and end date, and connected apps. The section is divided into Rules, Special rates and Settings. It allows you to add, edit, and organize pricing rules in one place, and to choose how routes and metered prices are calculated.
Navigate to Settings > Prices to view and manage all configured rules.
Pricing Rules
There are three tabs under this menu:
Rules
Standard pricing rules that define general pricing logic. There are four rules Dynamic pricing, Hourly rates, location-to-location pricing, Metered .Special Rates
Custom pricing overrides are applied for specific scenarios (e.g., special locations, time-based offers, or exceptions to standard rules). Configure special ratesSettings
General pricing settings that apply to all your rules, such as how routes are calculated and how metered prices are finalised. See "Settings tab" below.
Under the Rules and Special rates tabs there is a table that provides a summary of all configured pricing rules and how they are applied.
Priority
Indicates the order in which rules are applied. Lower numbers have higher priority and are evaluated first.Name
The name of the pricing rule for easy identification.Type
Defines the pricing method used in the rule (e.g., Location to location, Hourly, Dynamic).Start / End
Specifies the date and time range during which the rule is active.Connected Apps
Shows where the rule is applied (e.g., Web Booker, Dispatch Panel).
Priority Order
When multiple pricing rules could apply to the same booking, TaxiWebBooker uses the Priority order to determine which pricing rule is applied. The rule with the highest priority (Priority 1) is checked first. If it matches the booking, that price is used and the remaining rules are ignored.
You can change the priority by dragging the handle (⋮⋮) on the left side of each pricing rule.
Example (based on the screenshot):
Dynamic 101 – Priority 1
meter test – Priority 2
airport to station (Location to Location) – Priority 3
Hour rule – Priority 4
In this example, if a booking matches both the Dynamic pricing rule and the Location to Location rule, the passenger will receive the Dynamic price because it has the higher priority.
Important Note : If you have configured a Location-to-Location fixed price but the Web Booker is showing a different fare, first check the Priority Order of your pricing rules. If another pricing rule (such as Dynamic or Meter) has a higher priority, it will be applied before the fixed price. Move your Location to Location rule higher in the priority list to ensure the fixed fare is used for matching routes.
Adjusting Priority
Change priority by dragging rules to reorder them along the list in the overview
Settings tab
The Settings tab, next to Rules and Special rates, holds two settings that apply to all your pricing rules. Click Save after you change them.
Route calculation
Tell Google Maps how to choose the route used for distance-based pricing.
Avoid highways – Turn this on if the route used to calculate distance-based prices should avoid highways.
Metered job completion
Recalculate the price of metered jobs when they are completed in the driver app.
