How to record teacher attendance

Teacher attendance tracks whether a teacher was present, absent, or late on a given day. It lives on the teacher's profile and is separate from student lesson attendance.

Teacher attendance lets you record whether a teacher was present, absent, or late on any given day. It lives on each teacher's profile and is completely separate from student attendance (which is recorded per lesson). See the note at the bottom if you're not sure which one you need.

Recording attendance for a teacher

  1. Go to Teachers in the left-hand navigation.

  2. Click on the teacher's name to open their profile.

  3. Click the Attendance tab — you'll find it alongside tabs like Fees, Payments, and Library.

  4. A calendar view opens showing the current month. Use the month and year picker at the top to navigate to a different month.

  5. Each day in the month has its own row. For each day you want to record, select one of:

    • Present

    • Absent

    • Late

  6. Optionally, add a note in the notes field for that day.

  7. Changes save automatically — there's no Save button to click.

Viewing attendance across all teachers

To see a summary across your whole team, go to Reports and open the Teacher Attendance report. From there you can filter by date range or class and export the results as a CSV.

Teacher attendance vs. student attendance

These are two separate features — it's easy to mix them up:

What it tracks

Was the teacher present, absent, or late that day?

Did the student attend a specific lesson?
