Lesson attendance, student notes and behaviours

Learn how to record attendance, add notes, and assign behaviours for lessons in Teach ’n Go.

You can record attendance, write notes, and assign behaviours directly from each lesson in Teach ’n Go. These tools help you keep accurate records, share feedback, and support student progress.

How to log attendance, student lesson notes and behaviours

All actions are completed from the Lesson card.

Open the Lesson card

  1. Click a lesson from your Dashboard, Calendar, or Class page.

  2. The Lesson card will open with all student and lesson details.


Take attendance

  1. Click Attendance to mark attendance for multiple students at once.

  2. To take attendance individually, hover over Take attendance beside a student’s name and slect the relevant option

Tips:

  • Attendance statuses update immediately.

  • You can return to the Lesson card later if you need to make changes.


Add student lesson notes

  1. Click the ⋯ (More) button on a student’s thumbnail.

  2. Select Add note.

  3. Choose the note type and add your message.

Note visibility options

  • Admin – visible only to admins

  • Private – visible to admins, relevant teachers, and staff

  • Shared – visible to students and related contacts

You can choose the option that fits the purpose of your message.


Assign behaviours

  1. Select the student(s) you want to assign behaviours to.

  2. Click the Behaviour button.

  3. Choose:

    • Gold star (positive)

    • Red flag (negative)

Behaviours are recorded in the student profile and help track progress and engagement over time.
