You can control what your students can see and do in Teach ’n Go by setting specific permissions. These options help you create a secure and personalised learning experience that matches your school’s needs.
Steps to customise student permissions
Click the user icon at the top right of your screen.
Select User permissions from the dropdown menu.
Go to the Students tab.
Review the list of available permissions and adjust them as needed.
Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Available student permissions
Here’s what you can control through student permissions:
Access to their profile: Allow students to view or edit their own profile information. (Note: Students do not have access to this by default.)
Upload and delete attachments: Decide whether students can upload or delete attachments. By default, students can only view attachments added by teachers or admins.
Send assigned notes: Allow or prevent students from sending notes that are assigned to a teacher or admin.
Mark lesson attendance as excused: Allow or prevent students from marking themselves as excused from lessons.
Troubleshooting and tips
If a student reports they can’t access a feature, double-check their permissions in the Students tab.
Remember to click Save after making changes; updates won’t apply otherwise.
Permissions can be updated anytime — changes take effect immediately.
Customizing student permissions helps maintain control while giving students the right level of access.
