As part of the lesson booking system, it's possible to create a ticketing booking option. When the ticketing option is selected, you will be able to sell tickets to the students and then allow them to purchase lessons using these tickets. Using this process, you could create a subscription model, or it can also be used for one-off ticket purchases.

Follow the steps in this guide to learn how to implement the ticketing system.

Turn on the Ticketing System

In the school settings, navigate to the lesson booking tab and select the ticketing system option. You can also set the expiry date for the tickets after they are issued. Save your changes when you're done.

Adding Tickets

In the student profile, navigate to the fees tab. At the bottom of the fees tab, there is a section to add, edit and view student tickets.

It's possible to add tickets in two ways:

  • One-off: a set of tickets that are applied once. The fee is also applied once.

  • Monthly: a set of tickets are issued monthly, and fees are also issued monthly. This works great if you are signing a student up for a subscription. Each month a new set of tickets will be automatically given to the student.

Add in the relevant info and save. Once the tickets have been added, you'll be able to track how many have been used.

How Students Use Tickets

Now that you have added tickets to a student, it's possible for the student to book lessons from the lesson booking system. When the student accesses the lesson booking system through the student portal, they can see how many tickets they have remaining on the Ticket tab in the Payments section.

To use tickets, students can navigate to the booking system from within the portal through the 'Book Lessons' menu option.

Once in the booking system, they can select a class, teacher and lesson time, and they can purchase a lesson using a ticket. Each ticket allows one lesson to be booked. Students cannot purchase more lessons than they have tickets. If they have no tickets remaining, they will not be able to book any lessons.

Once the lessons are booked, the lesson tickets are deducted from the student's total.
