In this article, you'll see our step-by-step guide that we recommend Planners follow when using Tended's geofencing technology for their rail projects.

The planner will be responsible for using the safe work pack to draw geofences (safe zones) and create safe work sites on Tended's Dashboard, ready for use in rail projects.

  1. Create your project in line with the safe work pack

    1. Give the project a unique name

    2. Set project start and end dates and times

    3. Assign a project manager and project team

  2. In the project, create your first site

    1. Give the site a unique name

    2. Set project start and end dates and times

  3. Create your site's first safe zone, including access points and walkways

  4. Plan the location of site assets and information

  5. Plan and create multiple safe work sites within one project, as many as you need for the duration of the project lifecycle

  6. Once you're happy, follow the project review and approval process
