New Features
SSO/SAML parity for Thrive
Thrive 2.0 now supports the core web SSO/SAML workflows needed by SAML-enabled customers migrating from Thrive 1.0, covering authentication, user provisioning, account security, tenant configuration, and session handling.
Sign in through supported identity providers. Tenants can offer “Login with SSO” and support both service-provider and identity-provider initiated login across Microsoft, Google Workspace, and Okta. IdP-enforced MFA is supported, while failed authentication returns a safe error without creating a Thrive session.
Outlook Calendar Attachment Sync
We have enabled two-way attachment synchronization between Thrive and Outlook Calendar, allowing files attached in Thrive to appear as shareable links in Outlook descriptions and files attached in Outlook to be automatically uploaded and surfaced within Thrive.
Feature Enhancements
Enhanced Note Search
To ensure you can always find the information you need, we've expanded search on the Person page to look at relevant notes and surface matches.
Streamlined Candidate Notes & Activity Timeline
To help recruiters focus on high-value information, we’ve updated the Person Notes tab to hide rejection reasons by default while enhancing the Activity Timeline to include full rejection details and direct project links for better context.
Select Candidate Visibility on Add to Project
To give you more control over your search process, we’ve introduced a new setting that allows you to hide candidates from the Hiring Team when they are added to a project, ensuring internal reviews stay private until you're ready to share. Admins can configure whether the default should be to hide or show candidates to the Hiring Team.
Person Profile Tab Optimization
To improve the efficiency of reviewing candidate details, we have updated the tab order on the person sidepanel and detail page to prioritize the Experience tab, while ensuring your selected tab remains active as you navigate between different profiles.
Customizable Relocation Labels
To provide greater flexibility in tracking candidate preferences, we have introduced admin-configurable Relocation Labels, allowing workspace admins to customize, disable, or add new relocation options that end users can then apply as multi-select preferences on person records.
Excel Document Support
To better support investment professional deal sheets and other data-heavy files, you can now upload Excel (.xls and .xlsx) files directly to the documents section of candidate profiles.
Customizable Demographic values
For admin controls, we’ve introduced a new configuration suite that allows for the creation and management of Race/Ethnicity and Gender labels.
Customizable Project Workflow Reasons
Admins can now manage custom candidate rejection and project conclusion reasons in Project Workflow settings using a streamlined inline editor to improve pipeline hygiene and reporting accuracy.
Google Calendar Event Attachment Sync
Event attachments are now supported and stay connected between Thrive and Google Calendar. Files added in Thrive appear as secure links in the Calendar event description, while Google Drive files attached to the event are available from the matching Thrive event.
SourceWhale outreach is now visually flagged
Outreach records synced from SourceWhale now show a distinct icon on the Outreaches card, so you can tell at a glance which entries came from an automated SourceWhale campaign versus manual outreach. Since these records are logged automatically, the "Add Response" button is replaced with the icon and an tooltip clearly describing why. Manual and email outreach are unaffected.
ASX Stock Exchange Support
To improve data accuracy for Australian companies, we have added the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) to the stock exchange dropdown in the Company Profile funding information.
Enhanced Project Search Precision
To ensure you find exactly what you're looking for faster, we've optimized our search engine to prioritize exact project name matches across the platform. Whether you're using global search, linking notes, or filtering indexes, typing a project's full name (with or without a dash) will now boost that specific result to the very top of your list.
Enhanced User Search Precision
To ensure you find the right person instantly, we’ve optimized user lookups across the platform to prioritize exact name matches at the top of your results.
Enhanced Search Sorting
To help you find the most relevant information quickly, we've added the ability to sort your searches by Open Date and Closing Date, ensuring you can easily track recently closed projects or prioritize your newest opportunities.
Enhanced Sourcing Navigation
To improve tracking and progress visibility during candidate sourcing, we replaced lazy loading with structured pagination and added a results counter across all Past Projects tabs, ensuring users can easily see their total results and where they left off.
High Impact Bug Fixes
Global Search Scroll Fix
To ensure a smooth browsing experience, we fixed an issue where the global search results page would unexpectedly jump back to the top while scrolling through People, Companies, or Projects.
Enhanced Search Accuracy for Company Categories
To ensure search results are highly relevant, we improved the company category resolution so that specific queries, such as "CEOs of rideshare companies," return the expected industry leaders.
Confidential project names now stay hidden on Person Overview
To ensure confidential project information stays protected, we resolved an issue where a confidential project's real title could appear on the Person Overview page instead of its Code Name. Now, the Code Name is shown everywhere a confidential project is referenced, including on the Highest Stage Reached view of the person overview tab.
Consistent Note Sorting
To ensure you can always find the most relevant information quickly, we fixed an issue where notes would lose their chronological order during keyword searches, ensuring they now consistently sort from newest to oldest while keeping important notes pinned to the top.
