If you receive the Please Enter Valid Phone Number error message, this is because Toast Payroll cannot identify or accept the number you entered.
Attempt the following for troubleshooting:
Enter the number in standard 10-digit US format without extra spaces, dashes, or parentheses (for example, 3122527341).
Delete the number completely and retype it from scratch rather than editing the existing entry — a partially edited number can trigger this error even if it looks correct.
If the number has a new area code, wait a few minutes and try again — recently-issued area codes can occasionally be rejected as invalid.
