How do I fix the video orientation on my Samsung TV?
Why is my Samsung TV displaying videos in the wrong orientation?
Answer
If your Samsung display is configured correctly but certain videos still appear in the wrong orientation, a firmware upgrade is required.
Follow these steps to push the update using Technical Profile 2.12:
Take note of your display's current Technical Profile so you can revert to it later.
Switch the Technical Profile to 2.12 Upgrade.
Select Edit next to the 2.12 Upgrade profile.
Set the Profile Time to 5 minutes ahead of the current local store time.
Select Publish.
Wait 15 minutes for the update to process.
Change the Profile Time back to 4:00 AM.
Select Publish.
Change the Technical Profile back to your original value.
