Portfolio Analytics gives regional and division managers the cumulative project data they need to analyze groups of projects in detail and take corrective action for projects not meeting their KPIs. Portfolio Analytics also enables easy comparisons between projects using data like PPC, variance reasons, and constraint usage for more informed decision-making.

Drill into these respective pages by clicking the buttons along the top of the Dashboard titled Performance Index, or Operations Insights.

Total # Projects v Inactive # Projects will display which projects in the portfolio are considered 'Inactive' in Touchplan. A project is deemed 'Inactive' if any actions listed below have NOT occurred in the project in the last 21 calendar days:

  • A user has viewed a plan in the project

  • A user has added a ticket in the project

  • A user has edited a ticket in the project

  • A user has moved a ticket in the project

The Performance Index will measure a team’s use of tasks, milestones, and constraints. These metrics will indicate how well the team is maintaining its plans. The Performance Index includes metrics on the company's PPC, Milestone PPC, Constraint Performance and Status Performance.

PPC (Percent Plan Complete) is a reliability metric that calculates what percentage of weekly commitments (pinned task tickets) were met ‘On Time’ in Touchplan over the past 6 weeks.

Status Performance measures the number of tickets that have been statused (marked as completed early, on time, or late) versus the total number of tickets created in the past 6 weeks.
