Larger golf tours are sometimes organized into multiple tours. When using our Tour Management feature, you can:

  • Create tours within your account.

  • Assign managers to specific tours.

  • Set manager permissions.

  • Link players to specific tours.

  • Link events to specific tours.

  • Link Season Points to specific tours.

  • Link Multi-Stage Events to specific tours.

In this article, we will discuss how to create and manage tours within your account.

Creating Tours and Assigning Tour Managers:

To create tours within your account, go to Customer Center > Season Management > Tour Setup > New Tour (as shown below).

Enter the name of your first tour and assign the tour managers for that tour by entering their name and email address. After adding the new tour managers, they will receive an email to confirm their account and create a password.

Each tour manager will only have access to events linked to their tour along with access to the following pages in the Customer Center:

  • Events, Leagues, and Trips

  • Quick Event Setup

  • Create an Event/League/Trip

  • Clone an Event/League Trip

  • View Master Roster

  • Manage Emails (They can only send to players in their tour)

  • Manage Text Messages (They can only send to players in their tour)

  • Course Details

  • Roster Activity Log

  • Hole Handicap Analysis

  • Transaction History

You will have the option to toggle tour manager access to the following pages in the Customer Center:

  • Season Points

  • Multi-Stage Event

  • Directories

These pages are not allowed by default. To allow access to these additional options, go to the Customer Center > Customer Setting > Default Settings > General Setting > Tour Manager Permissions (as shown below). Check the boxes for the option you would like to allow and save.

Once your first tour is set up, create any remaining tours.

Linking Players to Specific Tours:

To view or change the tour assigned to a specific player, go to Customer Center > Master Roster > View Master Roster to select the tour for each player individually (as shown below).

You can also download the Master Roster onto spreadsheet (Customer Center > Master Roster > Download Roster to Spreadsheet), assign players to their tours in the "Tour" column in the spreadsheet, and upload it back to Golf Genius (Customer Center > Master Roster > Upload Roster from Spreadsheet).

If using Master Roster Registration, you can also require that the players select their desired tour when registering and creating a player profile.

Link Events to Specific Tours:

Each event can be assigned to a tour when creating the event (as shown below).

Managers of that tour will be able to set up and manage the event.

When viewing the list of events in the Customer Center, the assigned tour will also be listed (as shown below).

To change the tour of an event, click the "Actions" dropdown and select "Change Tour" (as shown below).

Link Season Points to Specific Tour:

Point Categories and Point Allocation Tables can be associated with a specific tour. Customer Managers can go to Season Management > Season Points to create point cateogires and point allocation tables. When creating either, the Customer Manager can select the tour that the point category or point allocation table should be associated with (as shown below).
