Team Split Payments

This feature is only available with the following products:

When running a team league or event and using Event/League Registration with Payment, you may want to allow split payments across the team players. When using Team Split payments, the primary registrant is given the option to pay for the entire team, a portion of the team, or split registration across the team players.

Split Payment Setup:

To set up split payments, you will need to create a payment option that allows registrants to split payments across players. If you have not done so, enable registration with credit card payments in the Registration Center. For more details about setting up registration with payments, Click Here.

To enable split payments, go to Event/League > Registration Payment, create a new registration option, or edit an existing one. When creating/editing the registration option, you will be able to check the box for "Registrant can choose to split payments across players. If selected, players will receive an individualized payment link via e-mail" (as shown below).

(Note: If the registrant purchases an add-on during the registration process, the add-on fees are split across the team players.)

When using split payments, you will also only have two refund options, "No Refunds" or "Manual Refunds." More details on refunds will be discussed later in this article.

Player Registration Process:

During the registration process, the player is given the option to "Pay registration for..." or "Send Payment Link via e-mail" (as shown below).

All players that have been asked to make a split payment will receive an email asking them to make their portion of the registration payment, (as shown below). The email link will direct them to an invoice on the portal to be paid by the recipient.

If you need to send a reminder email for those that still need to make their portion of a split payment, go to Event > Payment Center, look for the player you need to send a reminder to and use the drop-down and select "Send Reminder" (as shown below).

The email sent to players that need to make their portion of the registration payment can be customized by going to, Golfers > Email Configuration > "When Golfer receives a split team payment notice..." > Edit. Click Here for more details about customizing emails.

Viewing Split Payments:

When using split payments, a registration invoice will be created for each individual to split the team's registration (as shown below). To see each player's invoice visit the Payment Center by going to Event > Payment Center. For more details about the payment center, Click Here.
