How to set up due by dates on requests

Logit allows users to specify a desired completion time when submitting a request

Updated over 5 months ago

Due dates help ensure tasks are completed on time by allowing users to set clear expectations for when their request should be finished.

  1. Add a date or date & time question to the request form.

  2. Once the date field has been added to the form, click on Requests and edit the request to which you will add the due date functionality.

  3. Update the Enable Due By setting within Workflow Settings.

  4. Add a trigger to the request that links the question in the form to the due date in the request.

    • Go to Triggers and click Add trigger.

    • Set up a notification for the event 'On Submitted No Validation Errors.' (If there are validations within the form, you will need to create an additional trigger for 'On Submitted With Validation Errors.').

    • Select the 'Update Due By Date' activity and choose the due date question under 'Due Date'.

  5. All future requests will now include due dates to help the team prioritise them effectively.
