Troubleshooting: Why a Document Isn't Showing Up
If a document isn't appearing in Trunk Tools, or an agent can't find something you know exists, here are the most common causes and how to check each one.
1. It hasn't finished syncing yet
New documents take some time to be ingested and processed before they're searchable.
Documents usually appear shortly after they finish syncing, though processing time can vary with document size and volume. If a document is still missing after a while, work through the checks below.
2. It's in a folder Trunk Tools can't see
Trunk Tools only reads the folders and locations your integration is configured to access. If a document sits outside those, it won't sync. Check that the file is in a connected folder. For Procore, see Adding Projects and Configuring Folder Access in Procore.
3. It's an unsupported file type or too large
Check that the file is a supported type and within size limits. See Supported File Types, Integrations & Document Limits.
4. The integration connection has expired
If nothing new has synced from a source for a while, the connection may have expired. See Renewing an Expired Integration Connection.
5. You don't have access to that project
If the document belongs to a project you're not on, you won't see it. See Project Access.
Still not showing up?
If you've checked all of the above, reach out to your CSM or email support@trunk.tools with the document name and the project.
