The first step to start a business relationship with a cleaner is to accept their bid. From there, you will be able to then negotiate more freely, add them to your properties and share your cleaning projects with them.
Before accepting a bid 📝
You don't need to have anything but a property set up on your account to open a search for cleaners, but there are a few requirements that must be met before you're able to add cleaners to your contacts from your search.
Add a calendar to your property 🗓️
It is only possible to accept a bid after syncing a calendar on the property you're accepting bids for for. You should be able to sync with any platform that can export your booking calendar as an iCalendar. Syncing via integration also counts as adding a calendar to your property.
Talk to cleaners 💬
This is optional, but you can also chat with cleaners to negotiate or discuss details before accepting their bid.
⚠️️ATTENTION⚠️
No personal information must be shared at this stage. Messages that contain specific information or attempts to arrange to meet before you accept a cleaner's bid will be blocked. Accounts that send or request information too many times before accepting are subject to being removed from the marketplace.
To make sure you are following rules and guidelines when addressing a potential cleaner, check the following guide regarding our off-platform policy:
✅ Accepting a cleaner's bid
On the website, go to Cleaner Search, where you will see a list of your open searches. A button with the number of bids you have received will show on the search card. Click on it to see a list of the bids you received on that offer.
Click on a bid to view its page, where you will see more details about the cleaner and their bid, such as the cleaner's bid amount, their bio, and a few reviews. There will also be a button to "Accept Bid and Add to My Team".
If you have more bids for this property, you will see a suggestion to add more cleaners to your team by accepting their bid right after. You can click on "Add all cleaners" to accept all bids, or select the ones you'd like to add on this screen:
If you would like to add more cleaners, make sure to switch the button to "yes" for all the cleaners you'd like to add:
Once you click "Next", you will be prompted to select which properties to add these cleaners to. You can click on the field that shows the name of your property to select more properties. You can add these cleaners to as many properties as you wish. Make sure to add them to all properties you'd like them to receive projects from (you can add and remove cleaners from properties at any time). Once you're ready, click "next".
When you add several cleaners to a property or a new cleaner to a property that already has other cleaners enabled, the next screen will prompt you to select a priority for each cleaner.
🧹 Primary Cleaners will be notified of your projects first. We recommend you designate only one cleaner as primary. If you have more than one cleaner set as primary, all of them will see projects, but only the first one to accept it will be assigned to it.
🧽 Backup Cleaners will only be notified of your projects if the primary cleaner rejects them (or if no primary cleaner exists for that property).
The following article offers a more in-depth look at cleaner roles:
And that's it! The cleaner(s) will be added to your team and to properties as you have selected them. From now on, they will be able to see and accept projects from your schedule.
⚠️ Note: once you accept a bid, your search will only stay open with all other bids for 24 hours. If you would still like to add more cleaners, reopen the search or reach out to our Customer Support team so we can help you with reopening it! ⚠️
