My V1CE card is damaged. Can I get a replacement?

If your V1CE card is damaged, you can order a replacement on v1ce.co and reuse your existing design and V1CE page. Standard V1CE cards do not include a warranty by default, but you can pay for the V1CE insider warranty plan at the time of original purchase.

How to order a replacement

To order a replacement V1CE card, follow these steps:

  1. Go to v1ce.co and order a new V1CE card.

  2. Choose your card material and colour.

  3. In the design portal, select your previous design so you do not have to start from scratch. You can also quote your previous order number.

  4. Approve the mockup. V1CE does not print any card, including replacements, without mockup approval.

  5. When the new card arrives, activate it from your dashboard and link it to your existing V1CE page.

Your V1CE page stays the same. Only the physical card changes.

Can I reuse my old design?

Yes, you can reuse your old design on a replacement order. When you reach the design portal after placing the order, select your previous design or quote your previous order number. This saves you from going through the full design process again.

What about the old card?

Once you activate your new card and link it to your page, the old card is replaced. You do not need to deactivate the old card separately, you just activate the new one.

Common types of damage

V1CE cards can be damaged in a few common ways:

  • QR code worn off: the QR code can wear over time, especially on heavily used cards. The NFC chip inside may still work. Tap the card on a phone to check.

  • Cracked bamboo card: bamboo cards are made from real wood and can crack with temperature changes or bending. See the V1CE article on bamboo card care.

  • Delaminating PVC card: if layers are peeling, the card needs replacing.

  • Bent metal card: metal cards are very durable, but if damaged, order a replacement.

Tips for keeping your card in good condition

To extend the life of your V1CE card:

  • Keep your card in a wallet or card holder when not in use.

  • Avoid excessive bending or pressure.

  • Keep bamboo cards away from extreme heat and moisture.

  • Metal cards are the most durable option if longevity matters to you.

If your card stopped working out of the box, send V1CE a chat message with your order number and a short clip of the card being tapped against a phone.
