My card link shows a 404 error or page not found
If your V1CE card link shows a 404 error or page not found, your V1CE page is usually unpublished or the link name was changed. Go to your dashboard, check that your V1CE page is published, and verify the link name in your page settings.
> Other ways people ask this: "Why does my card show an error?" "My V1CE link doesn't work" "I get a 500 error when scanning my card"
How to fix it
To fix a 404 on your V1CE card link:
Log in at app.v1ce.co
Go to your V1CE page
Make sure it is published. Click Publish or Go live if it is not
Go to the page settings and check the link name
Test the link in a browser
Common causes
A 404 on your V1CE card link is usually one of the following:
Page not published
If your V1CE page is in draft mode, anyone visiting your link sees an error. Click Publish or Go live to make it visible.
Link name was changed
If you recently changed your link name (the part after link.v1ce.co/), the old URL no longer works. Anyone who saved the old link will see an error. Share the updated link.
Card not linked to a V1CE page
If your V1CE card was reset or never linked to a V1CE page, the link will not work. Go to Devices in your dashboard and check that a page is assigned.
An action or link element has no destination
If you added a button or link to your V1CE page but did not assign a URL, it can cause an error. Go to your V1CE page, check each element, and make sure every link and button has a destination.
Temporary delay
After making changes, it can take a few minutes for the link to update. Wait 5 minutes and try again.
Tips
After any link changes, test your card by tapping it or scanning the QR code
If you share your link on printed materials, avoid changing the link name
