How long does my withdrawal take? (ACH)

Written by David Alfonzo Gauna Martinez

Traditional ACH – follows the business-day banking cycles.

Timing by cycle

Standard withdrawals are processed via ACH, the interbank clearing system.

🔐 Key rule: If your withdrawal is on ACH, you should wait for at least one full payment cycle to finish before worrying or contacting support. In other words, once your withdrawal enters a cycle, you need to give that cycle time to complete, and in some cases, the following cycles where it might be credited.

A payment can be credited between 1 and up to 3 cycles after it enters ACH (the 5th cycle only handles returns, not new credits).

ACH cycles on a business day

  1. Cycle 1: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

  2. Cycle 2: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  3. Cycle 3: 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  4. Cycle 4: 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  5. Cycle 5: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. (returns only)

Depending on which cycle your withdrawal enters, here's the range in which it could be credited:

1️⃣ If your withdrawal enters the 1st cycle (8:30–10:30 a.m.)

It can be credited in:

  • Cycle 2 (same day): 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 3 (same day): 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 4 (same day): 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

👉 Crediting window: 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the same day.

In this case, we recommend waiting until the end of Cycle 4 before considering it delayed.

2️⃣ If your withdrawal enters the 2nd cycle (11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)

It can be credited in:

  • Cycle 3 (same day): 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 4 (same day): 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 1 of the next business day: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

👉 Crediting window: from 1:30 p.m. the same day to 10:30 a.m. the next business day.

Here it's a good practice to wait until Cycle 1 of the next day finishes.

3️⃣ If your withdrawal enters the 3rd cycle (1:30–3:00 p.m.)

It can be credited in:

  • Cycle 4 (same day): 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 1 of the next business day: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

  • Cycle 2 of the next business day: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

👉 Crediting window: from 3:30 p.m. the same day to 1:00 p.m. the next business day.

In this case, we recommend waiting until Cycle 2 of the next day finishes.

4️⃣ If your withdrawal enters the 4th cycle (3:30–5:00 p.m.)

(The 5th cycle is for returns only.)

It can be credited in:

  • Cycle 1 of the next business day: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

  • Cycle 2 of the next business day: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • Cycle 3 of the next business day: 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

👉 Crediting window: from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the next business day.

Here it's key to wait until Cycle 3 of the next day finishes.

👀 When does it make sense to contact support?

  • Wait for at least one full payment cycle to finish where it would be reasonable for the credit to appear (per the ranges above).

  • If the maximum window has already passed and you still don't see the money:

    • Verify that the destination account is correct.

    • Check if your bank is reporting delays.

    • Then contact us from the app with:

      • Your email registered with Wallib

      • Amount and date of the withdrawal

      • Destination bank

With that, we can review your transaction and help you better.

If you have any questions, write to us at support@wallib.co
