Receiving crypto on Wallib is very simple. You can receive:
BTC on-chain 🟠
BTC via Lightning Network (LN) ⚡
USDT via the TRC20 network (Tron) 💵
And also crypto from other Wallib users, using their
@username.
Let's go through each case 👇
1️⃣ Receiving BTC on-chain on Wallib
Use this option when someone is going to send you Bitcoin from:
A self-custody wallet
An exchange
Any wallet that uses the Bitcoin on-chain network
Steps:
Open the Wallib app.
Go to your on-chain BTC pocket.
Tap "Receive."
You'll see your on-chain BTC address and a QR code.
Share the address or QR with the person who's going to pay you.
Once the transaction is sent and has confirmations on the network, you'll see the BTC reflected in your on-chain pocket ✅
2️⃣ Receiving BTC via Lightning Network (LN)
Lightning is ideal for fast, cheap BTC payments ⚡
You can receive using:
A Lightning invoice (which you generate yourself in Wallib)
Or an email-style Lightning (LN) address, for example:
youruser@whatever.com(if the app shows this format).
Steps:
Go to your Lightning BTC (LN) pocket.
Tap "Receive."
Choose the type of receiving:
Generate a Lightning invoice for a specific amount, or
Use your LN address (if available in the app).
Share the QR or the invoice/LN address text with whoever is going to send you the payment.
The payment should arrive almost instantly, as long as both parties are well connected to the Lightning network 🚀
3️⃣ Receiving USDT on Wallib (TRC20)
On Wallib, USDT is handled via the TRC20 network (Tron). That means whoever sends you USDT must use USDT TRC20, not another network.
Steps:
Open your USDT pocket.
Tap "Receive."
You'll see your USDT TRC20 address and a QR code.
Send that address or QR to the person, exchange, or platform that's going to make the transfer to you.
⚠️ Super important: at the origin, they must select USDT – Tron network (TRC20). If they use another network (for example ERC20 or Polygon, while not yet active), the funds can be lost.
4️⃣ Receiving crypto from another Wallib user (free)
If the person sending to you also has Wallib, you can do the transfer user-to-user, with no network fee 💜
They just need your:
Username, exactly as it appears in the app, for example:
@yourname.
The flow for the sender is:
Go into the BTC or USDT pocket.
Tap "Send."
Choose "Send to Wallib user."
Type your @username.
Enter the amount and confirm.
You'll just see the balance appear in your corresponding pocket almost instantly ✅
5️⃣ Good practices when receiving crypto
To avoid mistakes:
Verify that you're sharing the correct network:
BTC on-chain → classic Bitcoin address.
BTC LN → invoice or Lightning address.
USDT → TRC20 address.
If you're copying and pasting addresses, check that the first and last characters match.
Don't share your addresses in public places unless necessary.
