There are occasions when a conversation needs to be redirected to another team member, such as when a customer is looking for specific assistance that another team member can provide, or when a conversation has not yet been assigned to anyone.
To ensure that the conversation is handled by the appropriate person, you can easily assign it to a specific team member. Here’s how you can assign a conversation:
1. Navigate to your Inbox
Go to the Whippy Inbox by clicking https://app.whippy.co/inbox/all/open. This will take you directly to your list of all conversations.
2. Select the Сonversation You Want to Assign or Reassign
Select the conversation that you want to assign or reassign to another team member.
3. Click on the Assignee Icon
In the conversation view, click on the picture or initials icon located next to the checkmark. This icon represents the current assignee of the conversation.
4. Select the Desired Team Member
From the dropdown menu that appears, select the team member you want to assign the conversation to. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the specific team member.
5. Confirm the Assignment
Click on the confirmation button "Assign User" to finalize the assignment.
6. Success! The Conversation has been Assigned
Once you confirm the assignment to a team member, the conversation will be reassigned to them. You should see a confirmation that the assignment was successful.
Feature Tip:
Once the conversation has been assigned to a user, the assignee may find it in the “My Conversations” tab. This helps in tracking and managing assigned conversations effectively.
