On Whippy, you have the ability to delete messages. This feature lets you remove any undesired messages from your Whippy Inbox, making them invisible to other users. Follow the instructions below to efficiently manage and clean up your conversation threads

1. Navigate to your Inbox

Go to the Whippy Inbox by clicking https://app.whippy.co/inbox/all/open. This will take you directly to your list of all conversations.

2. Open the Desired Conversation

Select the conversation you wish to close. You can use the search bar to find specific conversations or scroll through your list to locate the one you want to close.

3. Position your Cursor Over the Message

Move your mouse over the message you want to remove. When you hover over the message, additional options should appear.

šŸ’”If you don’t see a ā€œDelete Messageā€ button, ensure you have the necessary permissions. Only users with the appropriate access rights can delete messages.

4. Press the ā€œDelete Messageā€ Button

Click the ā€œDelete Messageā€ button that appears when you hover over the message. This button might look like a trash can icon.

5. Confirm by Clicking the ā€œYes, deleteā€ Button

A confirmation modal window will pop up asking you to confirm your decision to delete the message. Click on the ā€œYes, deleteā€ button to proceed with the deletion.

6. Confirmation of Deletion

After confirming, the message will be removed from the conversation. You should see a confirmation that the message has been successfully deleted.

šŸ’” If the message has already been delivered to the recipient, deleting it from your Whippy Inbox will not remove it from the recipient's view. They will still be able to see the message on their end.

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • No Delete Option: If you don't see the delete option, ensure you are logged in with the correct account and have the necessary permissions. Contact your admin if you believe you should have access but don't.

  • Deleted Message Still Visible: Ensure that you have confirmed the deletion by clicking "Yes, delete." If the message remains visible, try refreshing your browser or the app.

  • Accidental Deletion: Unfortunately, once a message is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Always double-check before confirming deletion.
