In this article, you will learn more about the Teacher Dashboard and how to monitor class and individual student progress. From the Teacher Dashboard, you will be able to see if students are writing, revising, or reviewing. You can also provide live feedback, grade writing, and see quick reports of student performance.

Navigate to the Teacher Dashboard

1. From the 'My Assignments' page, click on the assignment tile.

Note: You can quickly view the percentage of students who have turned in writing and see how many submissions have been graded.

2. Click to open the Teacher Dashboard for a particular class.


Explore the Teacher Dashboard

1. From the top of the dashboard, teachers can switch between classes, edit assignment settings, collect papers, or export data.

A. Grade Submissions: View the class progress on the assignment, including the percent of students who have submitted writing, completed reviews, and the percent of submissions reviewed by the teacher. Click the 'Grade Submissions' box to grade or give feedback, which will take you to a digital 'stack' of papers, with grading filters and stored comments to save you time.

B. View Feedback: See the class average scores from teachers, peers, self-review, and AI supports. Click to view Review Spotlights for Self Review, Teacher Review, and Peer Review.

C. Revision Spotlights: View what percentage of students have submitted revised writing, as well as how many students are successfully responding to comments in their revisions. Click to see revisions side-by-side and provide feedback on how a student revised.

2. The Reports section shows how the class is performing by AI Insights, Category, Skill, and Standard. Click on the tabs to switch between report views.

The student list will show which students are "On Watch" (scoring 70% or below), "On Target" (scoring above 70%), or "No Results" (no score yet).

Let's take a detailed look at this specific student on the Teacher Dashboard.

  • Status: This student's writing was graded an hour ago and she is not currently revising. If a student is actively writing a submission or revision, the status next to their name will say "Writing now."

  • Completion: This student has completed 100% of the writing for this assignment, but only 33% of the assigned reviews (including self and peer reviews).

  • Last Scores: The teacher has scored the student's writing as 85%. The student gave themselves an 82% in the self-review, and no peers have yet reviewed her writing.

  • AI Insights: RevisionAid scored this student's most recently submitted writing as 69%, while GrammarAid scored their writing as 74%. The student's writing showed 0% similarity to other writing, as assessed by Originality Check.
