Assignment Dashboard Exports
The Assignment Dashboard includes multiple data tabs, including overall scores, rubric-item scores, and breakdowns by skill and standard. Each option provides a different lens on student performance. Export from the Assignment Dashboard when you need a snapshot of performance for:
Includes: A CSV file of the data shown on the selected (active) tab.
Best for: A snapshot of one specific class and a single assignment.
Student Writing Exports
You can export multiple student submissions as a PDF or to your Google Drive, including their writing and feedback in one document.
Includes: A PDF or Google Doc with student writing, feedback, and rubric scores (depending on settings).
Best for: Portfolios, family conferences, IEP/504 documentation, or archiving work.
Gradebook (LMS) Exports
Grade exports formatted for Canvas and Schoology allow you to download assignment scores for importing to your LMS Gradebook.
Includes: Student names and overall assignment scores (and additional data depending on the view selected).
Best for: Uploading grades to an LMS.
Note: If your account is correctly set up with your LMS, grades should sync automatically. If you are having trouble please contact our live support team.
Proficiency Report Exports
The Proficiency Report helps educators identify trends across multiple assignments to see where students are succeeding and in what areas they need support.
Includes: Zipped file with CSV including student details, score breakdowns by skill and standard, and links to student writing.
Best for: Multiple classes and multiple assignments, identifying skill strengths and gaps for additional instruction, and monitoring overall writing proficiency across groups. Proficiency Reports are especially helpful to prepare for data meetings and instructional planning.
Growth Report Exports
Ideal for comparing two similar assessments, Growth Reports help educators see how their students improved in their writing skills from one assignment to the next.
Includes: Zipped file with detailed data breakdowns for skills and standards, for either a single assignment or comparing two assignments.
Best for: Measuring writing progress across a term or school year or tracking improvement after targeted instruction. Growth Reports can also be used to evaluate the impact of curriculum or intervention.
Tip! Using the same or similar rubric in both assignments on a Growth Report will provide the most accurate assessment of student achievement.
User Exports (Administrator Only)
License administrators can export a list of users on the license to manage user roles and staffing changes.
Includes: CSV file of user names, email, roles, and associated schools/regions, as well recent login timestamps.
Best for: Viewing what roles users on the license have and analyzing usage. This export can be helpful when editing the license for an upcoming school year.
