Migration Overview
Set up yayloh and go live with a minimum 14-day overlap between your previous returns platform and yayloh.
Update all your customer touchpoints - across your website, emails, and customer notifications to direct users to the yayloh return portal.
During the transition period, process new return requests through yayloh, but remember to complete any existing returns in your old platform or OMS (e.g., Shopify, Centra, ShipHero).
Export and store historical return data, if needed, as yayloh does not import past return information.
What to Keep in Mind before going Live with yayloh ?
1. Set up yayloh:
Connect your OMS to yayloh to enable automated return flows. We integrate seamlessly with Shopify, Centra, and WooCommerce. We will assist you through the configurations as needed [Read our onboarding guide].
Import historical orders:
By default, we import 1 month of order data, but we can extend this to 3 months upon request.
If you're switching platforms (e.g., Shopify to Centra), make sure product catalogs are properly linked to match orders correctly.
Before going live, test the full returns flow to ensure everything is set up correctly.
2. Update customer-touchpoints with yayloh return form:
Before going live with yayloh, ensure that all customer touchpoints reflect the new returns process with yayloh.
Return policy and help center articles: Replace old return links with yayloh return portal links with new return instructions. You can use our Return Policy and Instruction Template and customize it to fit your brand.
Order / shipping confirmation emails: Add one click pre-filled yayloh return form links so customers can access the return form easily.
What to Keep in Mind After Going Live with yayloh ?
1. Go Live & Begin Managing Returns in yayloh.
All requests registered after you go live should be via yayloh return form.
Continue managing outstanding returns initiated before the go-live date through your previous platform until they are completed.
2. Wrap Up Outstanding Returns in your previous system.
Finish processing any returns currently in progress within your existing system before migrating to yayloh, for a smooth transition for your customers,
3. Manage historical return data.
If needed, export and securely store your old returns data from your previous returns platform for future reference or reporting purposes.
yayloh can’t import old return data from your previous return platform.
4. Train your internal teams to use yayloh.
Train your customer support, warehouse, and operations teams to use the yayloh dashboard, manage returns, and handle refunds or exchanges. yayloh support team will assist in the transition and help teams adapt to new processes.
