Use it to monitor your average position, compare your ranking with competitors, and explore differences across AI models, tags, and prompts.
Review your Average Ranking
Ranking measures the position of your brand within an AI response.
Average Ranking gives you an overall view of those positions across the responses in which your brand was ranked.
A lower Average Ranking means your brand tends to appear closer to the top of AI responses.
How Ranking is calculated
Yetify determines your brand’s position from the structure of each AI response.
The position can be identified from:
Numbered lists, where the brand’s number determines its position.
Bulleted lists, when brands are being presented as ranked or compared options.
Prose, where position is based on the order in which brands are first mentioned.
Average Ranking is calculated from your brand’s positions across the responses in which it was ranked:
Average Ranking = total ranking positions ÷ number of responses where the brand was ranked
Responses where your brand does not appear are excluded from Average Ranking.
If no ranking is available for the selected period, Yetify shows no value rather than treating the absence of data as a ranking position.
How to interpret Ranking
With Ranking, lower is better.
An Average Ranking closer to 1 means your brand is generally appearing nearer the top of the options presented by AI platforms.
Tracking Ranking over time helps you understand whether your brand is moving towards stronger or weaker positions and identify the AI models, topics, or prompts where its position differs.
Ranking tells you where your brand appears when it is present. Use AI Visibility alongside it to understand how consistently your brand appears in the first place.

Ranking over time shows how your brand’s average position changes across the selected period and how that compares with competitors.
Use this view to identify whether your brand is moving towards stronger or weaker positions over time.

Ranking per model shows how your brand’s position varies between the AI models tracked by Yetify.
This can help you identify models where your brand tends to appear higher or lower.
Explore ranking by tag
Ranking per tag groups your ranking results according to the tags associated with your prompts.
This helps you identify areas where your brand tends to rank more strongly or weakly.
Review ranking by prompt
Ranking by Prompt lets you explore ranking performance at individual prompt level.
Use this view to identify which tracked questions are contributing to stronger or weaker ranking results.
