In this article you will learn more about the 'Locations' section in the 'Settings' menu of the YourDriverApp Web Portal.

In the locations menu you can create locations and areas which you can use to create pricing rules and/or Location Policies. You can currently use locations with your external booking integrations.

Locations and areas have a type; the following types are available when creating a new location/area:

  • Locations: Addresses, Airports, Hotels, Hospitals, Railway stations and other locations.

  • Areas: Cities, Countries, Neighbourhoods, Provinces, States and other areas.

It is important to understand that in this section you only create locations and/or areas. Once created they need to be selected in the pricing section in order to be used.

Locations and areas
In the Locations tab and Areas tab you can view your created locations and/or areas which you can use in the pricing section. The two tabs let you view the following info:

  • ID: For every created location/area the software allocates a unique ID.

  • Name: This is the name set for this location/area.

  • Type: The type of location/area, see examples above.

  • Address: The actual address of the location (locations only).

  • Policy: The Location Policy linked to this location/area.

Create new locations
You can easily create new locations by clicking the '+' button in the bottom right of the Locations tab:

  1. Enter the location address in the search bar and select your choice from the Google Maps drop down options. For example: Hotel NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky.

  2. Select the type of address, in this example 'Hotel'.

  3. Name the location to your liking, in this example 'Hotel Krasnapolsky'.

  4. If there is a location policy applicable for this location select it.

  5. Hit 'save'.

  6. Open the newly created location in the 'Locations' tab.

  7. See the created location polygon on the map, modify the polygon if needed by dragging the dots and reshaping the polygon.

  8. Hit 'save' to save your edit.

When you want to delete a location you need to open it, the Location and hit the red 'Delete' button on the bottom right and confirm your request.

Create new Area's
You can easily create new Areas by clicking the '+ button' in the bottom right of the Areas tab:

  1. Enter the area name you are looking for (Cities, Countries, Neighbourhoods, Provinces, States and other area's) in the search bar and select your choice from the Google Maps drop down options. For example: Amsterdam.

  2. Select the type of area, in this example 'City'.

  3. Name the location to your liking, in this example 'Amsterdam'.

  4. If if there is a location policy applicable for this location select it.

  5. See the created polygon of the location on the map, modify the polygon if needed by dragging the dots and reshape the polygon.

  6. Hit 'save' to save your edit.

When want to delete an Area you need to open it, hit the red 'Delete' button on the bottom right and confirm your request.
