What Is the Meta Pixel?
The Meta Pixel is a small piece of tracking code provided by Meta. When someone visits your event page, the pixel fires and sends data back to Meta. This allows you to track conversions from your ads, build retargeting audiences from page visitors, and optimise ad delivery to find more people likely to purchase tickets.
What Gets Tracked
YourKind automatically fires the following events when the Meta Pixel is installed:
Page View – Fires when someone visits your event page.
AddToCart – Fires when someone adds a ticket or add on to their cart.
Initiate Checkout – Fires when someone moves to the Details step of the checkout.
AddPaymentInfo – Fires when someone adds their payment information.
Purchase – Fires when someone completes a ticket purchase.
These events use Meta's standard event names, so they work automatically with your ad campaigns without any additional configuration.
How to Add Your Meta Pixel
Go to Marketing on your dashboard.
Select the Pixel Tracking tab.
Select Meta Pixel.
Enter your Meta Pixel ID.
Click Update.
The pixel will automatically be added to your event pages.
Finding Your Meta Pixel ID
Go to Meta Events Manager.
Select your pixel.
Copy the Pixel ID from the overview page.
💡 Tip
Install your pixel before you start running ads so that all visitor data is captured from day one.
💡 Tip
Use the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension to verify your pixel is firing correctly on your event page.
ℹ️ Note
YourKind natively supports the Meta Pixel only. If you want to track conversions across TikTok, Snapchat, or Google, you'll need to connect Seeka.
See Setting Up Seeka for Server-Side Tracking for more details.
