ID Verification
ZayZoon uses a few different methods to verify your identity during the sign-up process. This page walks through the best practices for uploading your ID to ZayZoon in order to verify your identity.
Here are a few tips on how to take the best photo of your ID.
lay your ID on a flat plain background
position your camera above your ID so the full ID is in view
avoid any shadows or glare
make sure that all edges are in view
make sure that the information is legible and not blurry
make sure your fingers are not covering any of the edges
If your ID was not verified the first time and says that it requires manual verification, our team will receive a notification and your ID will be manually reviewed in the next few hours. You do not need to reach out to our team to let them know. You will receive another message once your ID has been verified.
Acceptable forms of Photo Identification
Your government-issued photo ID should be valid (not past the expiry date) and have your current information on it. Some IDs may require that you submit a secondary verification document in which case you will be notified by our team.
Here is a list of acceptable IDs:
US Passport/ Passport card
State Identity card (non-driver ID)
Military ID
Tribal Registration Card
Drivers License/ Digital State ID
Work Permit (with secondary documentation)
Permanent Resident Card (with secondary documentation)
What happens if my ID is Denied?
The common reason for denied ID is a mismatch of information.
If your date of birth is entered incorrectly by your payroll provider, you will be notified to have it updated with your payroll before your account can be verified.
If your name does not match your payroll file, have your payroll updated or provide a secondary document to the Customer Care team to show why the name is different.
