Control how and when invitees can book time with you. From adding buffer time between meetings to limiting how many bookings you accept per week, these settings help you protect your time and keep your schedule manageable.
How to define event limits with Zeeg
From your Dashboard, find the scheduling page you want to edit and click on it.
Once you're in your scheduling page settings, select Advanced from the left menu. And you will be presented with the smart scheduling options that we'll cover below.
Buffer before and after event
Buffers add padding around your meetings so that back-to-back bookings are not possible. This gives you time to prepare before a call or wrap up after one.
Buffer before event — blocks time before each meeting starts
Buffer after event — blocks time after each meeting ends
Set the desired buffer duration in minutes for each field. Both can be configured independently.
Limit number of bookings
This setting lets you cap how many meetings can be booked on this scheduling page within a given time period, regardless of your general availability.
Toggle Limit number of bookings on, then set your preferred limits:
Per day — maximum bookings accepted on any single day
Per week — maximum bookings accepted within a calendar week
You can add multiple rules simultaneously—for example, a maximum of 2 bookings per day and 10 per week.
Minimum scheduling notice
Set how much advance notice you require before someone can book a meeting with you. Once configured, Zeeg will hide any time slots that fall within that notice window.
For example, setting a minimum of 30 minutes means invitees cannot book a meeting that starts within the next 30 minutes. You can set the notice period in minutes, hours, or days.
Limit future bookings
Control how far into the future invitees can see your availability and schedule meetings with you. You can select if that's based on calendar days, business days, within a data range, or just indefinitely in the future.
This is to prevent invitees from booking meetings many months in advance if that does not suit your workflow.
Time-slot intervals
Define the increments at which available time slots are displayed to invitees. For example, setting a 30-minute interval means slots are shown at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and so on—regardless of the actual meeting duration. Shorter intervals give invitees more flexibility; longer intervals simplify your schedule.
Back-to-back scheduling
When enabled, Zeeg shows only one available time slot before or after each already-booked event per day. This groups your meetings together rather than spreading them across the day, helping you keep blocks of uninterrupted time.
Max events per host (only for round-robin events)
Max events per host on round robin meetings lets you cap how many bookings each individual host can be assigned within a given time period. Once a host reaches their limit, they are temporarily removed from the rotation and new bookings are distributed to the remaining available hosts.
Toggle Max events per host on, then set your preferred limits:
Per day — maximum bookings a single host can receive on any given day
Per week — maximum bookings a single host can receive within a calendar week
You can combine both rules simultaneously—for example, a maximum of 3 bookings per day and 9 per week. Zeeg will respect whichever threshold is reached first.
FAQ
Do buffer times count as part of the meeting duration? No. Buffers are added on top of the meeting duration and are not visible to invitees. They simply block the surrounding time so no other bookings can overlap.
Can I set different Advanced settings for different scheduling pages? Yes. Advanced settings are configured per scheduling page, so each page can have its own rules independently.
What happens if I reach my booking limit for the day? Once the daily or weekly booking limit is reached, no further time slots are shown to invitees for that period—even if your calendar still shows availability.
Will invitees see my time zone or their own? If Auto-detect time zone is enabled, invitees will see slots in their own local time zone. If you lock the time zone, all invitees will see slots in the time zone you selected.
Can I redirect to an external website after booking? Yes. In Advanced options, you can also enter any valid URL—your own website, a Typeform, a Notion page, or any other destination.
