Admins of Reveal can customize data that's displayed in the Salesforce Widget for different teams to leverage. With complete control, you decide what data is displayed so different teams like Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success can view the right info at the right time.

There are two ways to customize data displayed in the Salesforce Widget. You have the option to include or exclude:

For the Salesforce Widget, you can do this at two different levels:

  • Partner's customer presence

  • Partner's opportunity presence

Common use cases include:

  • Leveraging tags like "cross-sell" so Sales gets the right data to work with a partner on a joint deal.

  • Leveraging tags like "retention" so Customer Success gets the right data to ensure a successful renewal.

  • Leveraging tags like "strategic" so you only display data involving your most important partners.

  • Leveraging a tag for a specific region like EMEA so you only display data for geographical areas that you want to pursue.

  • If you're interested in rolling out the Salesforce Widget to your Sales, Marketing, and/or Customer Success teams but prefer a controlled roll-out approach, leverage partner names and start with a few of your best partners.

It's important to know that you can differentiate the data displayed in the Salesforce Widget and Salesforce Custom Object.

This gives flexibility to partner managers so they can control what is displayed to various teams within the Salesforce Widget while still having the ability to report on everything using the Salesforce Custom Object.

  2. Click "Customize" within the Sync to CRM for Salesforce section.

  3. Click "Reveal Widget" to customize the data that is displayed.

    1. You can choose which partners to exclude or include by tag or partner name. You also have the option to customize by partners' customer presence or opportunity presence. The widget will only receive data concerning partners who match the rules.

4. If you'd like to differentiate the data that's available in your Reveal Custom Object, click "Reveal Custom Object".

  1. By default, the Reveal Custom Object will follow the same rules set for the Reveal Widget unless set up otherwise.
