When should I stop a campaign?

You might want to stop a campaign if:

  • You're no longer promoting the track or playlist

  • You want to pause spend before renewal

  • You're planning to switch creatives or strategy

  • You want a refund for the unused portion of your budget

Part 1: How to stop your campaign

Step 1: Open your campaign

Head to your Soundlink dashboard and open the active campaign you want to stop.

Step 2: Click the Manage button

Next to the Auto-renew toggle, you'll see a Manage button. Click that.

Step 3: Select "Stop campaign"

From the menu, select Stop campaign. This immediately stops the campaign from running further ads.

A couple of things to know:

  • Stopping a campaign immediately halts all future spend

  • You won't be charged beyond what's already been delivered

  • Refunds apply only to the unused portion of the budget, not completed delivery

Part 2: How to request a refund

Once you've stopped your campaign, follow these steps to request your refund.

Step 1: Copy your campaign share link

From your dashboard, open the stopped campaign and copy the share link. It looks like this: https://getsoundlink.com/share/xxxxxx

Including this link helps our team find and process your refund right away — without it, we'll need to follow up, which slows things down.

Step 2: Contact us

Reach out via the chat bubble in your dashboard or email us at hello@getsoundlink.com with the following:

  • Your campaign share link

  • The email address on your Soundlink account

  • A note that you'd like a refund for the unspent balance

Step 3: We process it

Our team will review and process the refund for the unspent portion of your budget. Here's what to expect:

  • Processing time: 5–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider

  • Refund method: Always returned to the original payment method used for the campaign

  • Amount: The unspent portion only — any budget already spent on ad delivery is non-refundable

Not sure if stopping is the right move?

If you're unsure whether stopping a campaign is the right call, message us first. Our team is happy to review your campaign performance and suggest whether it's worth letting it run, adjusting the strategy, or stopping altogether.
