The Manage budget modal, available on every live campaign — whether it's funded by card (Stripe) or Credit Wallet. Wallet campaigns have a couple of extra behaviours around refunds and backup cards — see the note at the end of this article.
How to open Manage budget
Open any live campaign in Campaign Insights from your Paid Growth dashboard
In the top-right of the campaign header, click the Manage button
The Manage budget modal will open. It has four sections.
Exporting campaign data
Click Export data in the modal to download a CSV of your campaign's overview metrics for the date range you've selected — handy for reporting or sharing outside Soundlink. This is separate from the engagement CSV export on the Overview tab; see [Ads] How to Export Your Engagement Data as a CSV → for that report.
Current budget
Shows your active daily budget, a progress bar indicating which day of the campaign cycle you're on, and the total budget vs. how much has been spent so far.
Click Update daily budget to change it. You can choose when the new budget applies:
Starting next renewal — update future cycles only; current spend stays the same, no charge today.
This billing cycle only — pay today to raise the budget for the remaining days of the current cycle; it reverts back at renewal.
This cycle and future renewals — pay for the increase now and keep the new budget after renewal too.
If you choose an option that charges you today, the total is the increase per day × days left in the current cycle — charged to your card on file, or deducted from your wallet balance for wallet-funded campaigns. Lowering your daily budget instead refunds the unused portion for the current cycle back to your wallet (wallet campaigns) or isn't charged further (card campaigns). Heads up: increasing your daily budget by more than 20% can cause Meta to re-enter its learning phase, which may temporarily affect performance.
Renewal date and auto-renew
Shows the exact date and time your campaign will renew next. The Auto-renew toggle is also here — turn it off if you want the current cycle to be the last one. The campaign will run to completion and stop without charging you again.
Renewals are processed approximately one hour before the cycle ends.
Payment method
Shows your current payment method. Click Update to switch to a different card. For card campaigns, this is the card charged each renewal. For wallet campaigns, this is your backup card — used to cover a renewal shortfall if your wallet balance doesn't fully cover it, and for top-ups. Payment method changes only affect future renewals — the current cycle uses the existing method on file.
Stopping the campaign
At the bottom of the modal you'll see Stop campaign in red. This immediately halts the campaign. Any unspent budget is automatically returned to you as Soundlink credits — see: [Ads] How to Stop a Campaign & Claim Your Credit
If your campaign is funded by Credit Wallet
Wallet campaigns use this same Manage modal now — you no longer need to use inline row controls. The differences from card campaigns:
Budget changes are deducted from, or refunded to, your wallet balance rather than charged to a card each time.
The Payment method section shows your backup card — it's only charged if a renewal costs more than your wallet balance covers.
See [Ads] Campaign Top-Up → for the wallet-specific breakdown.
FAQs
Can I change my budget mid-cycle?
Yes. Click Update daily budget and choose This billing cycle only or This cycle and future renewals to apply the change immediately — you'll pay for the increase across the remaining days. Choose Starting next renewal if you'd rather not pay anything today and just want the new budget to apply from the next cycle.
See [Ads] Campaign Top-Up → for the full breakdown, including wallet campaigns and payment method rules.
Does updating my payment method affect the current charge?
No. The current cycle uses the existing payment method. The new method applies from the next renewal onwards.
When exactly does renewal happen?
Approximately one hour before the current cycle ends, at the exact time shown in the Renewal date section.
Where do I find the Export data button?
It's inside the Manage budget modal — see the Exporting campaign data section above.
