The Resync Course Completions feature allows you to resync course completion statuses with a single click.
Learners who have new unfinished lessons or quizzes return from Completed to In Progress and receive a notification asking them to complete the new content. As a result, course statistics reflect the real picture of learner progress.
💡 When Should You Use Resync?
Use this feature if:
you have added new lessons or quizzes to a course, and some learners already had the Completed status;
you want learners to find out about the update and complete the new material;
you need course statistics to reflect actual learner progress rather than outdated statuses.
🔔 Learner Notifications
In Notification Settings, create a notification for learners with the Course Content Updated event, then configure its access and delivery settings:
The notification is sent automatically when the resync changes a learner’s course status from Completed to In Progress. The status change is what triggers the notification.
⚠️ Please note: the notification must be configured once, before you resync the statuses. Without separate setup in Notification Settings, the message will not be sent automatically.

⚙️ How Does the Resync Work?
After you launch the resync, the system performs the following steps:
Finds all learners who have the course marked as Completed;
Checks their current access to the course’s lessons and quizzes;
If a learner has at least one unfinished lesson or quiz, changes the course status from Completed to In Progress;
After the resync, the learner receives a notification about the content update.
Learners who have completed all the course content, including the new content, keep the Completed status.
🎁 Course Points
When a learner completes the course again, points are not awarded a second time. This protects the Gift Shop from exploitation: a learner cannot earn points for the same course over and over after every content update.
🔧 How to Launch the Resync
To launch the resync, open Statistics → Courses and select the needed course from the list:
On the course statistics page, click the three dots → Other → Resync Course Completions:
📌 Please note that statuses can be resynced once per hour. Launch the resync after you have finished making changes to the course.
