Order cancelled: When will my reservation be released?

When you cancel an order paid with Anyday, your reserved amount must, of course, be released. Here you can read how the process works and what to do if the release is delayed.

How the process works:

  1. It starts at the webshop: It is always the store where you made your purchase that must handle and approve your cancellation.

  2. Notification to Anyday: When the webshop marks the order as cancelled in their system, they automatically send a notification to Anyday.

  3. The reservation is released: As soon as we receive the confirmation from the webshop, we immediately release your payment reservation. It typically takes up to 24 hours from the time we release the amount until your own bank updates your account.

Why is the reservation still showing on my account? If your order is cancelled, but the money still appears as reserved on your bank account, it is usually due to one of two things:

  • Delay at the webshop: The store has confirmed the cancellation with you but has not yet updated it in their own system. As long as they haven't done this, Anyday will not receive the notification to release the funds.

  • Bank processing time: Anyday has released the reservation, but your bank is taking a little longer to remove it from your account overview.

What can you do as a customer? If you are waiting for a reservation to be released, the best and fastest thing you can do is to contact the webshop directly. Ask them to confirm that they have processed the cancellation correctly in their system so the notification is sent to Anyday.

If the webshop confirmed the cancellation several days ago and you still don't have access to your money, you are more than welcome to contact our support team so we can look into the matter for you.
