Complete Your First Worker’s Compensation Appointment

This guide outlines the step-by-step process for completing and managing your first worker’s compensation appointment on Avaana

Steps

Go to Avaana (avaana.com.au). Navigate to Provider Log In, then enter your registered email address and password to access your account.

1. Mark the Appointment as Attended

  1. Go to Bookings > WorkCover Bookings in the left-hand menu.
    Locate and click the relevant claimant and booking.

  2. A pop-up page will appear — click Attended.

  3. Once the claimant is marked as attended, the following options will become available:

    • Add Case Note

    • Add Subsequent Booking


2. Add Case Notes & Schedule the Next Appointment

⚠️ Important: If you select Add a Subsequent Booking before adding case notes, you’ll only be able to create one follow-up booking for that claimant.

  1. Click Add Case Note.

  2. Enter the relevant clinical notes.
    Click Continue in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Choose one of the following options:
    Needs to be booked – if a follow-up appointment is required;

    1. Choose an available date and time from the calendar after selecting the Schedule a Follow-up Appointment button.

    2. Confirm the appointment details.

    No subsequent booking needed – if no further appointment is required;

    1. Use the dropdown menu to select a reason, or

    2. If your reason is not listed, select Other and enter a brief explanation.


3. How to Schedule Multiple Subsequent Bookings at Once

If you need to schedule multiple follow-up appointments (e.g., every Monday):

  1. Go back to the Workcover Bookings page.

    Click Add Booking in the top right corner.

  2. Follow the prompts and create as many subsequent bookings.


4. View All Invoices

You can view generated invoices for completed bookings in the Payments & Transfers page


5. Submit an AHTR Form or Bill for Cost Recovery Services
(If Applicable)
