How to Create a Subsequent Booking

Follow the steps to create one or more subsequent bookings to ensure continuity of care and keep the claimant’s schedule up to date on Avaana

⚠️ Important: If you select Add a Subsequent Booking before adding case notes, you’ll only be able to create one follow-up booking for that claimant.

Mark the Appointment as Attended & Schedule the Next Appointment

  1. Go to Bookings > WorkCover Bookings in the left-hand menu.
    Locate and click the relevant claimant and booking.

  2. A pop-up page will appear — click Attended.

  3. Once the claimant is marked as attended, the following options will become available:

    • Add Case Note

    • Add Subsequent Booking

  4. Click Add Subsequent Booking. You’ll be prompted to select the service type and choose a date and time.
    Once completed, click Create Booking at the bottom of the page.
    ⚠️ Depending on your Practice Management Software or calendar, this will automatically show up on your system.


Schedule Multiple Subsequent Bookings at Once

If you need to schedule multiple follow-up appointments (e.g., every Monday):

  1. Go back to the Workcover Bookings page.

    Click Add Booking in the top right corner.

  2. Follow the prompts to create additional subsequent bookings for the claimant.
    ⚠️ Depending on your Practice Management Software or calendar, these will automatically show up on your system.
