How to Add a Booking Despite a Scheduling Conflict in Avaana

Follow this when you need to create a WorkCover booking over a potential time conflict with an external practice management software

⚠️ Important: This will not affect your practice management software calendar or your Avaana booking. You can run the appointment with the claimant as usual.

Steps

  1. Go to Bookings > Workcover Bookings from the left-hand menu.
    Then click Add Booking in the top-right corner.

  2. Select the Patient, Practitioner, and Service information from the dropdown menu.

  3. Time slots with an exclamation icon indicate a scheduling conflict (the practitioner is already booked in their practice management software).
    You can still select one of these slots.

  4. When you click on a conflicted slot, you’ll see this message:
    “This time slot is already booked. Would you like to proceed anyway?”

  5. Click ! Continue Anyway at the bottom to proceed.
    The booking will be created and marked with a Possible Conflict tag in the Workcover Bookings page.
