Getting your account set up can be done in no time at all, just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Set up your Holiday year

The first thing to set up would be to make sure the Holiday year is correct for your business.  By default we set this to Jan - Dec but you can make this to what ever you like. Simply go to Configure > Settings > Absence Settings > Holiday Year

Click the pencil icon shown above to change the Holiday Year.

Step 2:  Set up your Holiday Allowances and Working Patterns

Let breathe know how much holiday employees are entitled to by simply creating them a holiday allowance and to set their working hours you will have to create them a working pattern. Then assign the holiday allowance and working pattern to the employee via the Profile > More > Work Pattern & Leave Allowance.

Holiday allowances and working patterns can be created under Configure > Settings > Absence Settings

When you are creating a holiday allowance or working pattern simply click the '+' button to add a new one and then complete the relevant fields.

If your employees receive bank holidays you can let breathe know by going to the Employee's Profile > More > Work Pattern & Leave Allowance

Tick 'yes' to receives statutory holidays and then chose the relevant country from the drop down menu. If you have multiple employees entitled to the same statutory holidays then you can bulk assign them.

Step 3: Set up your Picklists and Modules

Turn on and off areas off the Breathe and customise dropdown menus with modules and picklists.

Within Breathe you can customise items that appear on drop down menus to make them a better fit for your organisation. The customisation fall into two main types:

  1. Adding more options to default lists (e.g. adding dengue fever as a new type of sickness) or
  2. Adding richer information about your organisation (e.g. company divisions and departments)
  3. You can access the picklists by going to the Configure > Settings > Picklists

Please note: There is no limit to the amount of picklists you can add into the system

Step 4: Configure your permissions

Under Configure > Settings > Permissions and Approvals, you can edit all the permissions for the account. You can change what HR users, line managers and employees can all see and do in the account.

Step 5: Import your employees 

Go to Employees > Data > Manage Data Imports > + add, download our import spreadsheet, complete it with your company's information and upload it into breathe. Simple!


Step 6: Bulk Assign

In order to make your life easier, Breathe enables you to perform certain functions in bulk via the employee list.

You can choose to bulk assign either to all your employees or to a select few (even one if required).

To bulk assign to employees, you simply go to the employee tab > employee list, Select the users you require and then click "Bulk Update"

Step 7: Entering Information

Once your Employees are in the system this now gives you the opportunity to add in any information you're unable to do in Bulk.  This could be from backdating leave through to adding Employee and Company Documents ready to be read.

Step 8: Send welcome emails to your employees

Once you have worked your way through the configuration check list, the last step is to send the welcome emails to your employees. 

When you've got breathe set up and you're ready to roll it out to your employees, you can send them a welcome email that invites them to get started with the system.

   

Subscribing to breathe

Once you have your breathe account set up and you are ready to buy then simply click the 'Buy Now' button at the top of the page!

You can change your plan size you are on under Configure > Plan & Billing > Change Plan.

With breathe you are not tied in to a contract, there are no hidden costs and the prices are great value!
