If you or a colleague have received a message advising an 'Invalid username or password' this will be due to one of the following...

The temporary password has not been copied and pasted correctly

Look out for spaces before and after the password. You will need to delete these.

Correctly copied and pasted password:

Incorrectly copied and pasted password:

The temporary password received may need to be typed

  • If copying and pasting haven't worked for you then type it out.

  • Keep an eye out for uppercase vs lowercase letters and a capital O is not the same as the number 0.

The email address is incorrect

  • Check this with your HR team which is listed on your profile.

  • You may be able to request a password reset with an old email address but this may not allow you to log in to your account.

Is the password the most recent one received?

This is an important one as each new request supersedes the last so make sure they are using the most recent by checking the time of the emails.

The employee's profile could be locked due to too many incorrect login attempts.

If this is the case the employee will have received an email from Breathe letting them know that their account has been locked.

They are required to click on the link in this locked email to unlock their profile and successfully reset their password.

Please note: Pressing reset password will not resolve this issue. The link in the email must be clicked on to unlock their profile.
