If you or a colleague have received a message advising an 'Invalid username or password' this will be due to the following:
The temporary password has not been copied and pasted correctly
Look out for spaces before and after the password. You will need to get rid of these.

The temporary password received may need to be typed
If copying and pasting haven't worked for you then type it out.
Keep an eye out for uppercase vs lowercase letters and also a capital O is not the same as the number 0.
The email address is incorrect
Check this with your HR team which is listed on your profile.
You may be able to request a password reset with an old email address but this may not allow you to log in to your account.
Is the password the most recent one received?
This is an important one as each new request supersedes the last so make sure they are using the most recent by checking the timestamp of the email.
Hopefully with the above checked you or your colleague will then be able to choose a new password and log in successfully.
