What am I responsible for as a Curator?

Here’s a breakdown of your key responsibilities.

Curators are central to the success of every Buenro group booking. When you initiate a booking as a Curator, you take on an important role that involves organising the stay, managing your group, and ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish.

1. Booking & Coordination

You’re responsible for:

  • Choosing the property and dates

  • Reviewing the property rules and payment terms

  • Starting the group and managing how many rooms are claimed

  • Ensuring the group reaches full capacity before the 7-day deadline

No one is charged until the group is confirmed — but once confirmed, the booking is locked in.

2. Communication with Your Group

As the organiser, you should:

  • Keep the group updated via in-app chat

  • Help everyone understand their roles — especially Inviters and +1s

  • Confirm when everyone’s spot is secured and payment is complete

  • Share key details like check-in times and house rules

Good communication avoids confusion and last-minute issues.

3. Managing Payments

As the Curator:

  • You authorise Buenro to place holds and process final charges when the group is full

  • You may be financially responsible if someone drops out or doesn’t pay — especially in Full Home bookings

  • You should encourage timely payments so the group isn’t disqualified

  • You can view payment status in your Booking Dashboard

4. Enforcing House Rules

During the stay:

  • Ensure everyone follows the house rules (e.g. quiet hours, no smoking)

  • Don’t allow unregistered guests or surprise gatherings

  • Step in early if issues arise among guests

As the official organiser, you're expected to maintain group accountability.

5. Handling Issues

If problems come up (e.g. damages, no-shows):

  • Report the issue to Buenro via the Help tab

  • Communicate fairly and clearly with everyone involved

  • Keep a record in case refunds or claims are needed

Support will work with you to resolve it.

6. Being Available

You don’t need to be online 24/7, but you should:

  • Check group chat regularly for updates or questions

  • Be reachable during the stay for coordination or issues

  • Step in if there’s a behaviour or safety concern
