How do I communicate with my group?

This guide shows you how to communicate within your group — whether you're a Curator, Guest, or +1.

Buenro group stays are all about coordination, connection, and clear expectations. To help with this, each group has built-in tools that make it easy to message, share updates, and align plans.

1. Group Chat

Every group has a dedicated group chat available inside the app once you join or create a booking.

You can use it to:

  • Coordinate arrival and check-in details

  • Share plans (like who’s arriving when or group activities)

  • Ask questions about the property or schedule

  • Flag any potential issues early

All participants, including the Curator and +1s, can see and post in this chat.

2. Notifications

When someone posts in the chat:

  • You’ll get a push notification (if enabled)

  • You can respond directly or mute the conversation

We recommend keeping chat notifications on while a trip is active so you don’t miss anything important.

3. Private Messaging (Coming Soon)

In some versions of the app, you may be able to privately message:

  • The Curator (if you’re a Guest or +1)

  • Other participants (if mutually connected)

For now, use the group chat as your main tool. You can also coordinate off-app using the links or contacts you have.

4. Best Practices

  • Be polite and inclusive

  • Avoid spamming or off-topic posts

  • Confirm details early (like check-in time or shared expenses)

  • Don’t share personal data or sensitive info in chat

If any issues arise, you can always escalate to the Curator or contact Buenro Support.

5. When to Contact Support Instead

Use in-app Support chat for:

  • Reporting property problems

  • Payment issues

  • Safety or behavioral concerns

Support is not available in the group chat, so message us directly through the Help tab if something needs attention.
